Slingshot Studios is the latest in a line of independent developers taken on by the brand as exclusive content developers and providers. The very first creation to go live under the Microgaming umbrella is Cash of Kingdoms scheduled to be released on October the 10th.
Chief Executive Officer at Microgaming, John Coleman, is of the opinion that the company’s already extensive portfolio of content will benefit in a big way from the unique style of Slingshot Studios. Independent developers tend to have a unique approach to content and media development, with each having a style of their own to bring to the table. Coleman also commended the new team developers for their ability to target a specific market.
Coleman said that what really impressed him was the drive behind this specific team. It’s all about creating and challenging and coming up with a truly exceptional product.
Three Is A Charm
Slingshot Studios is the third independent developer to have been taken on by Microgaming. The company first announced its intention to start making use of the services of independent developers back in February, with Triple Edge Studios as its first exclusive independent partner.
Next in line was Stormcraft Studios in June. Microgaming no doubt realised that it had hit gold with its newest strategy of bringing a different approach to content development into the highly competitive market, and so, Slingshot Studios were brought on board.
